Here’s how it will benefit your child, yourself and your wider family:

Closer Relationship:
The program fosters improved understanding, trust, openness and communication between you and your child. This provides an opportunity for you to offer help that is far more likely to be accepted and create a more supportive home environment.

Improved Child & Teen Mental Health:
You’ll learn how to support your child/teen to better deal with current worries and concerns, process past traumas, better manage their fluctuating emotions and feel more positive, confident and optimistic.

Enhanced Resilience:
You’ll be better at equipping your child with the skills to deal with daily life and bounce back from inevitable challenges.

Boosted Confidence & Self-Efficacy:
You’ll help your child or teen understand their unique gifting and potential, boosting their confidence, self-esteem and general outlook on life.

Better Academic Performance:
As your child or teen’s emotional and mental health improves, they’re more likely to go to attend school and apply themselves academically.

Improved Child Outcomes:
By playing a key role supporting your child’s recovery, you’re significantly contributing to better long-term outcomes for them. Your support will help your child achieve their full potential.

Improved Understanding of Neurodiversity:
Many parents are supporting a child or teen with neurodiversity. You’ll gain a better understanding of how they think and feel and how to support them.

Improved Family Relationships:
When you’re supporting your child’s mental and emotional health, it has a positive impact on everyone else in the home – your husband/wife/partner/other children. You’ll see reduced tension and stress and notice how this benefits everyone.

Greater Peace of Mind:
Knowing that you’re taking proactive steps to address your child’s mental health will provide you with a sense of peace and reassurance. You’ll be able to focus on supporting your child’s well-being with the worry and anxiety you’re inevitably feeling at this moment.

Stronger Support Network:
Connecting with other parents who understand your challenges is incredibly beneficial. You’ll join our supportive community where you can share experiences, learn from others, and build lasting connections.

Reduce Your Stress and Anxiety:
By gaining a deeper understanding of your child’s mental health and acquiring practical coping strategies, you’ll be better equipped to handle daily challenges. This can significantly reduce your stress and anxiety levels.
5 Module Programme
We’ll guide you through 5-modules over the course of 6 to 9 months.
We go at a slow and comfortable pace which gives ample time for discussion,
questions and peer-support.
Each module has it’s own workbook so you can scribble notes along the way. We know how overwhelmed and busy you likely are, so there’s no ‘homework’ outside of our group meetings.
Module 1: Foundation
Supporting a young person through their mental health struggles can be deeply challenging for parents. In this first module, you’ll learn how to ‘steady the ship’ and start building a foundation to support your child’s healing. You’ll hear a young person’s perspective on how a parent can better help a child in crisis…and much more.

Module 2: Get Your Own Oxygen Mask On First
In airplane safety videos, parents are told to put on our own oxygen mask before helping a child. In any crisis situation, we know it is best to remain calm to provide effective help, but this can be incredibly difficult for parents due to the emotions we experience. In this module, we focus on helping you become stronger and more emotionally stable, so you can better support your child in the way they truly need.

Module 3: The Bonding Stage
It’s now time to focus on building a stronger bond or relationship with your child. This module will support you to strengthen and deepen the trust and understanding between you, ultimately encouraging them to share their struggles and invite your help and support on their journey of recovery.
We will explore ways to cultivate quality one-to-one time with your child that strengthens your relationship. Our focus will be on celebrating successes and fostering a supportive and loving environment in your home.

Module 4: The Healing Stage
You’ll learn how to ‘hold a healing space’ for your child. You’ll understand how to encourage and support them to be able to open up and share the struggles and concerns that have been weighing so heavily on them. This is a time of healing.

Module 5: The Growing Stage
You will build resilience in your child or teen.
You will learn how to guide them to change from focusing inwards and backwards, to outwards and forward. You’ll help them to cultivate a stronger sense of self-worth, meaning and purpose.

The Power of Parental Support
Parents are the most important people in a child’s life. When it comes to mental health, that’s even more true. Studies show that children and teens who have informed and supportive parents do considerably better when they’re struggling. Even though there are professionals who can help, parents can play a vital role in their child’s recovery
You’ll probably have discovered that getting help from outside services is tough. They are hugely oversubscribed and often stretched thin, so it will take time to get the support you need.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to do this alone. You’re your child’s biggest advocate, and with our guidance, your support will be incredibly valuable.

Early Intervention
The earlier you can start supporting your child or teen, the better. Early intervention can make a real difference. You’ve noticed the signs and are taking action – you can help prevent things from getting worse and support their recovery. Remember, you know your child best, and your love and support can be a powerful force in their healing journey.
