We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful to announce that the Youth Mental Health Foundation has been awarded a generous grant of £4,895 by the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust.
This vital funding will allow us to launch our Power2Parent Programme in Torbay this year, providing free-to-access, early intervention support for parents and carers of young people who are struggling with their mental health.
Addressing a Critical Need in Our Community
In communities like Torbay, families often face long waiting lists for statutory mental health services, leaving them to navigate crisis situations without guidance. Our Power2Parent programme is designed to fill this gap. Created by parents with lived experience and mental health professionals, it empowers parents with the skills, knowledge, and peer support needed to help their children and themselves.
This project will directly support 25 families in Torbay, equipping them with tools to improve their child’s mental health trajectory, reduce the risk of harmful behaviours, and build stronger, more resilient family relationships.

Receiving this grant from the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust, an organisation dedicated to supporting local people in need across the South West, is a powerful endorsement of our work6666.
