The ceremony is happening on 28th November in Hammersmith, London, and we’re on a mission to get Jade and Joel to attend!

Why Jade Deserves This: 

Our amazing co-founder Jade has ADHD and from the age of 9 struggled at school and with her mental health. Between the ages of 11 and 13 she struggled with but overcame severe anxiety, depression, self-harm and an eating disorder. Through her 'Reach for the Stars' assemblies, she’s been inspiring other young people with her story to build mental health resilience, reach out for help if they need it, keep pushing forward and chase their dreams—just like she did.

We want to say a huge thank you to the NHS for supporting our Zoom Group for parents of young people struggling with mental health in Torbay.

Thanks to funding from NHS Devon, we are able to advertise this amazing opportunity for parents and carers in Torbay to learn how to better support a child or teen struggling with mental health.

Zoom Parents Support Programme: Torbay

Anxiety, depression, self-harm, and other mental health struggles are on the rise among young people, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic.

A recent study shows that 1 in 5 children and young people in England aged 8 to 25 had a probable mental disorder in 2023.

As parents, we can be left feeling overwhelmed and helpless, not knowing where to turn for help.

This programme will support 30 parents in Torbay, caring for a child or teen struggling with mental health, but not qualifying for CAMHs support, by equipping their parents/carers to support their mental and emotional health and...

Last month, Jade delivered assemblies in Torbay to destigmatise mental health, empower young people, build mental health resilience, and increase awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity.

Thanks to the support of Torbay Council, Jade was able to deliver her ‘Reach For the Stars’ assembly to three primary schools in Torbay, including Upton St James C of E Primary School, All Saints Babbacombe C of E Primary School, and Ilsham C of E Academy. Jade will also deliver assemblies to Eden Park Primary School and Warberry C of E Academy in January 2024.

We are incredibly grateful to have been funded by Focus Foundation. Thanks to their generous support, we are able to film, edit, and release Module 3 of The Horizon Plan!

The Horizon Plan is our free-to-access online course helping parents/carers better support a young person struggling with mental health. From lived experience, we recognise the key role that parents/carers can play in their child’s healing. The course is recommended by NHS trusts and NHS Recovery Colleges across the UK, including Devon Partnership NHS Trust: ttps://www.youthmentalhealthfoundation.org/onlinecourse

Following the huge success of Module 1, we are just about to launch Module 2, and we can’t wait to start filming Module 3 in 2024! We are extremely grateful for this opportunity to deliver this much-needed support to our growing community of parents and carers.

We are delighted to have been funded by The Allen Lane Foundation! Thanks to their generous funding, we are able to deliver all 18 sessions of our Zoom group for parents/carers supporting a young person struggling with their mental health.

The programme will support 30 young people in Torbay struggling with mental health, but not qualifying for CAMHs support, by equipping their parents/carers to support their mental and emotional health and healing. 

We can’t wait to start this project in 2024 and are extremely grateful for this opportunity to deliver more support to families and young people in Torbay.
